PROGRAMS

The programs offered at Preferred College of Nursing, Los Angeles are designed to impart knowledge and demonstrative ability necessary in today¡¯s healthcare facilities. "Our goal is to provide caring service and support to students in times of need."

The Vocational Nursing Program prepares students to take the NCLEX-PN. The California Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) requires licensure for graduates to work in the field. This program is designed to impart the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for entry-level care for patients of all ages, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

In the Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide Training Program, the student will be taught standard nursing assistant /home health aide duties in accordance with the State Laws and regulations set forth in Title 22 and OBRA. The program also prepares the student to take the State Certification exam provided by the Department of Public Health as conducted by the American Red Cross organization.
