HISTORY
“Our schools have a rich history of providing some of the best educational opportunities to hundreds of students throughout Southern California. The dream became reality in 1996 when Bernardita Sanchez was inspired by her Mother Eugenia Rodriguez and with the assistance of her children Bernard Matthew and Kristina Ultra founded Preferred Training Center in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
Bernard Matthew quickly recognized the growing need to provide a quality educational program to meet the growing needs of the industry throughout Los Angeles County, just as he had helped to develop in the Valley, and from that realization grew the inspiration to launch Preferred College of Nursing Los Angeles. The college is a privately owned institution incorporated in the state of California. We’re conveniently located in the Los Angeles area commonly known as "Mid Wilshire - which is easily accessible by car and all Metro transportation with living, dining, religious and entertainment opportunities all locally situated.
We have various classes and administrative staff available seven days a week. Our Admissions Office is available Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 and weekends 8:30-3:00. Additional appointments may be arranged by contacting the appropriate department in advance.
